The 18th edition of the PHotoEspaña festival is monographically devoted to Latin American photography. Aware that the scope and historical, cultural and creative variety of such a large region makes an encyclopaedic approach imperative, the festival aims to offer a platform that spotlights the confluences, bifurcations and contrasts of photography on this continent. The exhibition programme will analyse the development and complexity of Latin American photography from its origins until today by gathering transversal visions and thematic and contextualizing proposals. The exhibitions this year feature works by Julio Zadik, Lola Álvarez Bravo, Osvaldo Salas and Luis González Palma, along with Unveil and Detonate and The Eye of the Other. Historical Photography of Ecuador: The outbreak in Amazonia.
