Portrait of Hebden Bridge, a textile town and its inhabitants in the middle 1970
Just before finishing Art School in 1975, Martin Parr started to photograph a small town in Yorkshire to document and research declining traditional way of life.
Susie Mitchell, -his future wife-, joined him and started to write about the locals, the rural communities and a Methodist chapel that Martin Parr captured during five years. Between both of them composed an extraordinary document which is an authentic surprise for the Parr fans and for the traditional report amateurs.
