Gathers his most recent works.
The work of Chema Madoz, which hovers near visual poetry, shows a constant inclination towards the symbolic, with images characterised by a subtle play of paradoxes and metaphors that lead him to create an imaginative, reflective world of his own. Through his photographs, which are often permeated with a subtle irony, Madoz questions reality and encourages the viewer to observe and reflect, and to discover the hidden poetry in the most everyday objects by subjecting them to subtle transformations and altering their common functions, contexts and uses. This volume surveys some of the best works by this Madrid– based photographer in the past five years.
