Something is going on in Latin America. A new wave of narrators expands and upon passing renews Latin American literature (although some of the authors who live in the United States have published originally in English). Here is a selection of this continent’s best young writers. Noteworthy among them are Daniel Alarcón (chosen by England’s Granta magazine as one of the best American novelists of the decade), Patricio Pron (who won the 2008 Jaén Novel Prize and will be published by Mondadori-España) and João Paulo Cuenca (the famous Brazilian author of Corpo presente).
