Ilustrated by Francisco Toledo
This spring number includes the collaboration of a first-class illustrator: the painter Francisco Toledo. Eñe 29 shows us the extraordinary mix of voices and points of view which emerge throughout a country as evocative as Mexico.
Jorge Volpi, Ignacio Padilla, Juan Villoro, Alberto Ruy-Sánchez, Elena Poniatowska, Mauricio Montiel Figueiras, Alberto Chimal, Guillermo Fadanelli and Valeria Luiselli are some of the Mexican voices in this number. Moreover, thanks to the translation of Juan Barja, we publish three poems of Pessoa written under one of his most important pseudonyms, Álvaro de Campos; and the preview is offered by the Italian writer and scriptwriter Francesco Piccolo, regular collaborator of directors such as Nanni Moretti.
