Bodas de Sangre (Blood Wedding)is a drama about lovers who give in to a love they would have liked to forget, a tragedy about life and death with an arcane, ancestral framework that leads the reader into a world of dark passions.
A poet, playwright and writer of prose, Federico García Lorca (Granada, 1898-1936) created works that retain their validity thanks to their very great literary quality. A member of the Generation of 1927, he is one of the authors with most influence in twentieth-century poetry, and his theatrical works are considered the highest point in Spanish theatre.
Juan Manuel Castro Prieto (Madrid, 1958) makes his photographic works with the nomadic attitude of the wandering artist. He has travelled through countries such as Peru, Morocco and Ethiopia, always offering his testimony to them with his special gaze. He has published books and displayed his oeuvre in such outstanding spaces as the Musée D´Orsay.
La Fábrica Editorial has recovered the legendary Palabra e Imagen collection, created in the early 1960s by Esther and Oscar Tusquets in their Lumen publishing house and has taken over publication of these works made by great masters of literature and photography.
