Jean-Luc Mylayne (Marquise, France, 1946) photographs over three decades a repetitive motif, common birds in their natural habitats. Nevertheless, his work has nothing to do with documentary or naturalistic photography. Mylayne, with an own photographic method, is a storyteller, who reflects about the paradoxes and conditions of the physical world, like the interdependence among species, the cycles of life and death or the depletion of natural resources.
