Manolo Valdés, one of the most recognised artists, has recently exhibited his sculptures at such an amazing frame like the New York Botanical Garden. This book collects that exhibition through the Andrea Santolaya's magnificent B&W images. Besides, it contains two volumes inside a precious case which includes a drawing specially created for the occasion.
Volume 1, called "Infierno. La fundición" collects Madrilenian foundry sculpture images, capturing the place soul and materia in its pure state. A text by Benvenuto Cellini(Florencia, 1500-1571) talks about gold and silversmithing arts.
Volume 2, entitled as "Paraíso. El jardín", walks through the different spaces at Botanical Garden, showing sculptures and their surroundings and light magic. An evocative text by Javier Rioyo, tell us about the scultures' journey to the Big Apple.
