Photography of Architectural Models in Spain, 1925–1970
Size: 20x26 cm
Language: Esp. / Engl.
This book pays tribute to two important systems of architectural representation: the scale model and the photograph. It revives more than 100 original photographs of scale models of famous projects – better or lesser known, built or never built – from modern, 20th-century Spain. It is a visual, critical and historiographic discourse of the first order, a kind of parallel visual narrative of the modern transformation of our architecture. It includes photographs by Català-Roca, Kindel, Pando, Lladó, Maspons- Ubiña, Gómez and Masats, and by architects like Aizpurúa, De la Sota and Higueras, as well as several original scale models portrayed in photographs.
