Between 1955 and 1965 Ramón Masats toured the geography of Spain with his camera. A commission on national values for an illustrated Gazette that allowed the development of a new, synthetic language, accurate in content and splendid in its graphics.
Masats’ work coincides with the end of Franco’s the regime autarky and with the international opening designed by the Ministry of Education and Tourism.
Visit Spain was that first message that tourist propaganda used.

Ramón Masats (Caldes de Montbui, Barcelona, 1931) is one of the protagonists of the renewal of the photo-documentary of the sixties. He has made photographic essays and has exhibited his work with Carlos Saura.
His work has been recognized with various awards, including the National Award for
